Not light :) Amaris is Goddess of Nature and hunt, but she refuses to be neutral. Instead she is good and evil. Graven just brings out......the evil in her :) :)

I only mentioned the shrine of light as a place for them to do their thing, but light is a different deity.

Hmmm. Interesting about the definition of neutral. If someone follows his own goals (thus being good and evil at the same time, always depending on his point of view or his whim), isn't he then neutral too?

But I sort of do know what you mean. The character isn't the type of neutral that always stands inbetween (neither comitting to good or bad).

Yeah, I want to do something different than the fluffy bunny lover that only defends nature and just wants to defend nature. I hope to eventually incorporate good and evil high priests and see how they interact with each other when they have to test their faith against each other in conflict of good and evil. Part of the reason for the Amaris/Graven thing is to actually help with the evil part of nature.

Hmmm. I guess that depends on the definition of nature, too?

In my opinion, nature isn't evil. When a storm hits an area, that's not because the storm is evil. It just is. Or when some other part burns up in fire. Fire just is, too. Since fire also spreads warmth and heat, but also has a destructive/chaotic side.

I believe the only "evil" part is humans (humanoids) that can _use_ the elements for evil. Like someone burning down the city he hates. But that's more detached from nature itself.

Also I believe when hunting, the hunter isn't evil itself.... a lion that hunts down a deer isn't evil because he's hunting, even when he's tearing down the deer and ravaging it. He's simply feeding his hunger.

What do you think, in your opinion, is "the evil part of nature"?

I can see of how a dagahasi shaman would follow nature.. using nature to destroy others. But then again... take any mage, and most have lightning strike or some other elemental/nature attack. Does that make them evil only because they use that?

Evil is taken so many different ways by so many different people. But yes I am playing the darker side of nature like the storm, the feral hunter, and the fury of all the elements. Not necessarily evil like, I'm going to kill you just to kill you. To appreciate the beauty of the Ishon and the purpose of all things in nature. Without darkness there is no light. That whole thing.

The hunter isn't evil for killing the deer, until PETA arrives anyway.

As for elemental magic, that's part my domain, and part the new God of Magic's domain. So we're kinda sharing any elemental magic done by players.
